Tournament: Madrid and Donosti Cup

The Donosti Cup, Spain’s top soccer tournament, attracts over 350 teams from 23 nations every year to beautiful San Sebastian, Spain. Established in 1992, the tournament takes place every summer and is open to clubs of any sporting level. Teams are guaranteed a minimum of four matches. Tour must depart North America on 7/4 for 2026 and 7/3 for 2027.

Life in Madrid is centered around talking, toasting and tapas-eating. In a walk through this crowded and social city, your Tour Director will help you get to know the lay of the land. Then stroll over to the Puerta del Sol, the bustling city center. Next, you'll relax at the Plaza Mayor, a grand square where every sort of human drama has taken place—trials of faith, public burnings of heretics, royal marriages, the canonization of saints, and countless balls and bullfights. End at the Plaza de España for a stop at an outdoor café.

Explore the Puerta del Sol, one of Madrid's busiest and most historic squares. While here we will view the Kilometre Zero marker, from which all distances in Spain are measured, and Madrid’s symbol, the Madrono.

Spend time in the Plaza Mayor, Madrid's most famous square. Throughout its long history the square has hosted markets, bullfights, soccer games, public executions, and the Spanish Inquisition. It is now ringed by shops and cafés and is often filled with artists and musicians.

The Plaza de España is a popular place to gather in Central Madrid. It features a large monument to Miguel de Cervante, author of Don Quixote.

If your team advances through the playoff matches, you’ll compete in the Cup Finals. Otherwise, you’ll continue on to Madrid.
Day 10 Flight home from Madrid

  • As we pair your group up with regional teams, we will be looking for 3 or 4* accommodations near sports facilities. Often this means your overnight stays could be approximately 90 minutes outside of the city center. If your group chooses an upgraded hotel option you will typically be placed in a more central location

  • Lunch and dinner as per your itinerary, determined by final sporting arrangements

Professional games are subject to availability based on the leagues’ fixture lists at time of travel
  • Three college credits upon completion of on-line course (USA grades 9-12 eligible). In Canada, academic credit is available for Ontario students.
